Finished with the Bathroom Wall (almost)!

Hey there peoples! I have finally finished the crates for the empty bathroom wall. Aren't we all excited?? This means the last post on it, right? WRONG. You'll see why at the end of this post.

Here are the crates being painted again.

Then I used a wax paste to seal and distress them...

They came out GREAT!

Then I added hangers to the back of each crate. Well, the hubby did while I watched because he wouldn't give me the hammer. Hmmph!

Then we started hanging them on the bathroom wall - this time I insisted on hammering!

It came out fantastic! I'm so pleased!! I love the way I spaced them, the colors, the placement on the wall....it's all great.

Now I just need to decorate them. Sigh....I'm afraid I'm boring you all by this string of bathroom wall posts. I hope not guys! Give me some love, and some ideas on what to put in/on the crates.

Thanks!

  3. Oooouuulala...Lynn! love them, especially the off white painted one. Hmmm, well I've seen beachy kinda stuff like starfish and pieces of fake coral that always looks nice. Or maybe small jars, or Ball canning jars with cotton balls, Qtips, fragrant soaps...a small bud vase with small dried flowers would be cute too! A cute painted frame with a phrase that you like in it, or maybe a small painted mirror or 3...gosh, the possibilities are endless!

....now where in the world did I put that one lonely crate of mine...?! It's an awful shade of green, and needs to look like yours! Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. Love these! Too bad I don't have an empty wall to "borrow" your idea. Becky's ideas are great... Make your own Live, Laugh, Stickers to put up around the crates? I'll send you some beach sand... in a plastic bag so it doesn't make a mess this time. I'll look for some driftwood pieces too. Like Becky said, possibilites are endless. Oh, and go find some starfish and sand-dollars and stuff... :-D
