I am SO late posting this, so many other bloggers had this done and ready to go for the first of the year. I was so overwhelmed trying to figure out blogging and monetizing, and advertising, and plain old design issues (still am by the way!) that I was just trying to keep posts up, let alone figure out what I might have time to read.
For example - book # 1 on the list, I've been reading since late December. Barely halfway through. And I'm a fast reader! Craziness I tell ya!
- Mom Blogging for Dummies by Wendy Piersall
- Blogging for Dummies by Susannah Gardner & Shane Birley
- 31 Days to Build a Better Blog by Darren Rowse
- The Money Saving Mom's Budget by Crystal Paine
- The Naturally Clean Home: 150 Super Easy Herbal Formulas for Green Cleaning by Karyn Seigel-Maier (reading it again, I absolutely LOVE this book!!)
- Clean House, Clean Planet by Karen Logan
- Do It Gorgeously: How to Make Less Toxic, Less Expensive, and more Beautiful Products by Sophie Uliano
- The Everything Soapmaking Book by Alicia Grosso
- Basic Soapmaking: All the Skills and Tools You Need to Get Started (How-to Basics) by Elizabeth Letcavage
- Better Photo Basics: The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Taking Photos like a Pro by Jim Miotke
Every title is a link to it's Amazon page if you are interested in any of the books. And no, I'm not getting paid for that. Wish I was!! Other than getting healthy, these books represent all of my goals for 2012. I want to improve my blog. I want to continue learning natural home cleaner recipes. I want to learn how to make cold process soap. And I want to learn some photography skills. And all of these tie into my blog somehow! I definitely have a one track mind this year. THE BLOG. I want it to be fun for my readers, informational and read-worthy. And I want to continue learning so that I can make all of that possible. Phew! That's a lot of pressure, and a lot of reading! But I can do this. Slowly, and with a lot of mistakes along the way. But I can. And I will.
