Home made All Purpose Spray Cleaner -

This is my most used, and best loved cleaning recipe. The All Purpose Cleaner is fantastic stuff! Spray it on a crusted up mess, leave a few minutes, come back and wipe away! And with 2 boys, plus all their friends, there is ALWAYS a crusted up mess in my house. It cleans everything, countertops, surfaces, bathrooms....good stuff.
Here's how we start;
2 teaspoons Borax
1 teaspoon washing soda (not baking soda)
4 tablespoons white vinegar
1 teaspoon liquid castile soap (tea tree scent has the most antibacterial/antifungal benefits, but all of the scents will clean well)
4 cups hot water

Add Borax, washing soda and vinegar to a large spray bottle using a funnel. Add 1 cup hot water and shake well until powders are dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and shake well again. Shake before each use if necessary.

I used Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap because I prefer the brand. I used ALmond in these photos because I love the scent. Tea Tree has the most antiviral/antibacterial/antifungal benefits but all of the scents have their own benefits.

I've used this on every surface in my home, but you might want to do a spot check of your own to be sure. Easy to make, cheap to make, and easy to use....now if only we could invent a spray that scrubbed too!

  1. You had me interested until I saw the "Vote for Mitt" thing on your page. One of these days I will try your cleaning stuff. Will it remove that Mitt thing on your page? :D
